Leeds working on deal to sign up senior figure after he quits PL giants - reports

Leeds are working on a deal to bring senior talent spotter Ian Broomfield to the club weeks after he quit Tottenham, according to reports.
The print edition of the Sun, as cited by the Daily Star, claim the Championship big hitters want to bring recruitment specialist Broomfield back to Elland Road 18 years after he left.
It is said that Leeds are keen to reach an agreement with the veteran scout, who is aged 66.
Broomfield has been available since, as reported by Sky Sports’ website, leaving Premier League giants Tottenham for a second time in the middle of December, when his contract had expired.
He became the second member of Spurs’ transfer committee to either leave or announce an intention to leave within the last six months.

The Londoners’ head of recruitment Paul Mitchell announced his resignation last summer and is currently working out a 16-month notice period until the end of 2017.
Broomfield is a long-standing ally of former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, who he worked with at both Portsmouth and Tottenham before leaving White Hart Lane during the time of the Portugese Andre Villas-Boas.
Broomfield returned to north London for a second time in 2014 after a spell with Redknapp at QPR and was on the club’s transfer committee when they completed the signings of the likes of Dele Alli, Vincent Janssen, Eric Dier, Son Heung-Min and Toby Alderweireld.
Leeds’ link with Broomfield comes just days after the Yorkshire giants announced sports media mogul Andrea Radrizzani had assumed joint control of the club.
The 42-year-old, who is set to fly to the UK this week for meetings with senior Leeds figures, has bought a 50 per cent stake in the promotion hopefuls.
Radrizzani has already made a mark at Elland Road, as the club announced on Monday that they had secured their first January signing in the shape of playmaker Pablo Hernandez.
In other Leeds transfer news, the new owner Radrizzani has struck a massive blow in the January transfer market.
