Wiedwald arrived from Werder Bremen in the summer and instantly took the No 1 goalkeeper spot from Robert Green.
However the big German is yet to really convince anyone that he is going to be a good long-term solution between the sticks after a stuttering start to life at Elland Road.
The 27-year-old counts too much on his defence and when they don’t perform he gets found out all too easy by the opposition.
It’s unlikely that Andy Lonergan will come into the starting line-up any time soon with Christiansen clearly in favour of Wiedwald, but he must improve his performances soon otherwise it could see Leeds concede too many goals to make a solid promotion bid.
