Leicester are kicking themselves after ‘big’ Gray development at Everton – Agbonlahor
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Demarai Gary’s fine start to life at Everton may lead Leicester City to regret selling him in January.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker backed Gray to have a fantastic season at Goodison Park.
The winger scored his first goal for Everton in their 2-2 draw with Leeds United at the weekend after his summer move from Bayer Leverkusen.
The former England Under-21 international moved to the Bundesliga club from Leicester in January.
And Agbonlahor has claimed they could have done with Gray in their 4-1 loss to West Ham on Monday.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “The big thing for Demarai Gray was, he was disappointing at Leicester although he had his moments.
“He went to Leverkusen and did OK but this is his chance. He’s been given a lifeline in the Premier League to show what he can do, to prove Leicester wrong.
“He’s had a flying start. His family and his manager would not want anything else from what has happened so far.
“He looks like a player who has got a point to prove as to why he should be in the Premier League and playing week in, week out. I think he’ll have a really good season.

“I would be worried if I was Leicester for when he plays against Leicester. If I was him and looking at that game, he’ll be up for it and will want to prove a point to Brendan Rodgers.
“Leicester could have done with someone like him against West Ham on Monday. I thought they were very light on the right side of midfield.”
In other news, Everton could lose Richarlison amid a “ridiculous” £137million update.
