Leicester’s Patson Daka reacts to Wilfred Ndidi message amid transfer links
Leicester City are braced for the departure of midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as the Nigerian international looks set to stay in the Premier League.
The Foxes have returned to the Championship after just one season back in the top flight and they will begin their campaign in the second tier against Sheffield Wednesday at the King Power.
Former QPR manager Marti Cifuentes is the new boss at Leicester, after the sacking of Ruud van Nistelrooy, beating competition from the likes of Danny Rohl and Sean Dyche to the job.
Cifuentes though may have to make do without Ndidi in his midfield as the 28-year-old is gaining interest from Manchester Untied and Everton.

Release clause generating interest
Ndidi has been at the club for eight seasons and signed a new contract extension last summer which runs until 2027.
He does though have a £9million relegation release clause in his contract which means a move away from Leicester looks likely to occur.
Ndidi has shared an update on his Instagram on how he is spending his time amid the transfer rumours, with the caption: “Throwback soul with front-page style,” which was liked by team mate Patson Daka.
Foxes face hurdles ahead of Championship return
Football Insider Verdict
Ndidi would leave a hole in Leicester’s midfield, with the Nigerian known for his ability to break up the play and protect the back four.
He can also venture forward and served as a box-to-box midfielder during Enzo Maresca’s time at the club.

New manager Cifuentes also has other issues to contend with a possible points deduction incoming amid Leicester’s financial concerns.
Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen could depart with Football Insider exclusively revealing Leicester would accept an offer around £20m for the Dane.
Bilal El Khannouss is attracting attention with Nottingham Forest one interested party, although the announcement that Morgan Gibbs-White is staying at the club could make the move off.
The Foxes will therefore face a tougher test getting out of the Championship than the side that won the title two seasons ago.
Southampton and Ipswich, also relegated from the Premier League, will also be eyeing an immediate return whilst Birmingham City are showing a great amount ambition in the market.
