Leigh Griffiths raves about Rangers summer signing
By Richard Parks
Leigh Griffiths has raved about Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos ahead of Saturday’s Old Firm showdown at Ibrox.
The Colombian front man, 21, has scored eight goals in 10 matches for the Light Blues since transferring from Finnish side HJ Helsinki in June.
Six of Morelos’ goals have come in league competition, which is indicative of his calibre and growing threat as a forward to be reckoned with.
Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has warned Morelos that Celtic will be out to provoke him, something Brendan Rodgers denies.
Celtic striker Griffiths admits that the Hoops need to be on their guard to quell the new Ibrox dangerman.

When asked about Morelos, Griffiths told Sky Sports News’ Old Firm preview on Thursday night: “He has started off the season well. He is scoring a few goals and he looks a handful.
“Our centre-halves will need to be on top form to keep him quiet.”
Morelos is expected to lead the line for a Rangers side which has showed encouraging signs in recent weeks after being completely overhauled during the summer window.
Caixinha’s side will narrow the gap on leaders Celtic to two points if they secure a victory in the first Old Firm of the season this weekend.
In other Rangers news, a bizarre admission from Ibrox has played right into Celtic’s hands ahead of the Old Firm.
