Deal all but done: Everton midfielder transfer set to be completed today, medical underway - reliable journalist

Everton midfielder Aaron Lennon is expected to join Premier League rivals Burnley today following a medical, according to a reliable journalist.
David Anderson, the Daily Mirror northern football writer, gave the transfer update on his official Twitter account regarding the Toffees midfielder’s imminent future and said that the issues regarding his contract had now been finalised.

Lennon joined the Blues in 2015 from Tottenham for a £4million fee and after failing to score a single goal in 19 outings this season, followed by the arrival of Theo Walcott from Arsenal, he is deemed surplus to requirements at Goodison Park.
Football Insider verdict:
Lennon needs a fresh start and at Burnley, he will get that. The Toffees fans patience has worn thin with the England internationals’ inability to produce from the midfield zone and is thought to be one of the main reasons why Everton have struggled creatively this season. No goals in 19 games for the Blues says it all and now that Walcott has arrived at Goodison Park – and already looks light-years ahead of Lennon – a move to Burnley is the best option for all concerned. Under the Clarets manager, Sean Dyche, Lennon will be given a new lease of life and a chance to show that at 30-years-old there is still life left in him yet.
