Leny Yoro sends message to Man United fans after injury development
Man United sensation Leny Yoro has taken to social media to make his feelings known after their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday (December 4).
The 19-year-old made his long-awaited debut at the Emirates, replacing Harry Maguire for the final 30 minutes of the game but was powerless to stop Arsenal from inflicting the first defeat of the Ruben Amorim era.
Yoro picked up a devastating ankle injury against Mikel Arteta’s side in preseason, forcing him to miss United’s first 15 games of the season, totaling 94 days on the sidelines.
Arsenal secured all three points thanks to two set-piece goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba, marking their 21st and 22nd from corners since the start of last season, the most in the Premier League.
The 20-time champions have seen plenty of change since then, with Erik ten Hag dismissed after overseeing their worst-ever start to a Premier League season. He was succeeded by Amorim, following a brief interim spell under Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Leny Yoro glad to make his Man United debut after overcoming injury hell
The young centre-back could be set to benefit hugely from Amorim’s as part of a back-three in the highly regarded coach’s favoured 3-4-3 system.
Yoro took to Instagram to express his joy about making his debut after the defeat to Arsenal, despite the result, Saying: “Mixed feelings, but here we are, finally.”

Amorim has steadied the ship somewhat but failed his first major test as Man United manager in the defeat to Arsenal after games with Ipswich, Bodo/Glimt, and Everton.
United will be hoping to finally get their season back on track as they face Nuno Espirito Santo’s high-flying Nottingham Forest side on Saturday (December 7).
