Aston Villa first-teamer Jordan Amavi is attracting interest from Marseille, according to a report.
French outlet L’Equipe claim that the 22-year-old left-back was the subject of a £8.6million bid from the Ligue 1 club but Villa boss Steve Bruce believes he is worth triple and, in any case, does not want to sell his player.
Owner Tony Xia had previously stated on his personal Twitter account that the Championship club had rejected a £25million bid for their star player from a Chinese side.

It is said by L’Equipe that Amavi is a favourite of Marseille boss Rudi Garcia who sees the Frenchman as part of his Champions League project.
However, it’s reported that the France under-21 international is not interested in a move to the Stade Velodrome.
Amavi signed for the Midlands club when they were a Premier League outfit during the summer of 2015 from Nice, with the youngster putting pen-to-paper on a five-year contract.
After a positive start to his career in the Midlands, he suffered a season-ending injury during Villa’s relegation campaign.
However, upon his return from injury, the Villa Park fan favourite has established himself as a key player in the side as they aim for a push up the Championship table.
Football Insider verdict:
Jordan Amavi is a huge asset to the Aston Villa side and he must not be sold at any cost. The left-back, although still developing as a player, has shown that he has the qualities of a top-tier left-back. His ability to defend and attack in equal measure, in particular, his crossing ability are one of his many strengths. Steve Bruce recently loaned out Aly Cisskho and selling Amavi will leave the club with no recognised left-back. Not only that, Bruce would lose a player of huge quality, who has been providing the club with the little attacking threat it has been showing in recent weeks. Villa’s aim is to earn instant promotion this season and selling Amavi will more than definitely put a huge dent in their promotion hopes.
