‘Leroy Sane makes Bayern contract u-turn amid Chelsea links’
Leroy Sane is out of contract with Bayern Munich this summer and has attracted interest from Chelsea.
Arsenal had been keeping tabs on the 29-year-old’s contract situation, while he is also wanted by the Stamford Bridge club.
Football Insider exclusively revealed that Chelsea are the frontrunners to sign the winger, who has scored 11 goals in the Bundesliga this season.
Sane’s efforts for Vincent Kompany’s men have helped the Bavarian giants claim their second Bundesliga title in three seasons.
Sane won’t sign a new contract with Bayern
The German previously proved his worth in the Premier League with former club Manchester City, where he won two top-flight titles.

Meanwhile, as reported by Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk via CF Bayern Insider [16 May], Sane had previously agreed a new contract with Bayern.
However, since changing agents, the winger now wants improved terms, and is steering towards a Bundesliga exit amid interest from England.
Sane signing could go either way for Chelsea
The former Man City man has demonstrated that he still boasts a dangerous eye for goal, and could be a success in the Premier League once again, should he return to England.
While Harry Kane is Bayern’s talisman, Sane is also a key figure, having notched 18 goal contributions in 44 appearances across all competitions.
He has been vital for Kompany’s side at the business end of the Bundesliga season, scoring two goals and creating one assist in his last three appearances.
Thanks to his ability in the final third, Sane could be a real asset for Chelsea, if he agrees terms with Maresca’s men.
However, the argument could be made that the 29-year-old could struggle to settle into life with the West London club, thanks to the presence of several other wingers such as Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto, and Tyrique George, who may not be keen on the idea of yet more competition.
