Leroy Sane’s ‘mega-money’ demands revealed after Tottenham update
Leroy Sane will demand a mega-money contract from interested clubs this summer amid links with Tottenham, sources have told Football Insider.
Sane is widely reported to be earning more than £300,000-a-week at Bayern Munich, where his contract is due to expire next month.
Tottenham would struggle to match that figure but could find a potential deal attractive as they would not need to pay a transfer fee to secure his signature.
Football Insider has revealed (28 May) that Sane is keen on a return to the Premier League and a move to London.
Chelsea and Arsenal weighing up Sane offers
Sky Sports claimed on 28 May that Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Sane after securing qualification for the Champions League next season.
However, Chelsea and Arsenal are also considering their options and could yet make a move for the former Man City winger.
Chelsea’s interest could be influenced by Jadon Sancho’s failure to make a starting place his own at Stamford Bridge since arriving on loan from Man United.
Season | Appearances (Premier League only) | Goals |
2016-17 | 26 | 5 |
2017-18 | 32 | 10 |
2018-19 | 31 | 10 |
2019-20 | 1 | 0 |
Sane’s experience across four seasons with Man City saw him lift back-to-back Premier League titles as well as three Carabao Cups and an FA Cup.
While a number of clubs on the continent are also expected to firm up their interest in Sane, the most lucrative financial packages in European football will come from England.

Postecoglou sack update from Tottenham
The ongoing speculation surrounding the future of Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou could muddle Spurs’ bid to secure early-window signings.
Despite the Australian delivering the club’s first trophy in 17 years last week, Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (28 May) that Tottenham are preparing to ramp up crunch talks with the 59-year-old in the coming days.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness has claimed (29 May) that Brentford boss Thomas Frank could be approached if chairman Daniel Levy decides to part company with Postecoglou.
