21-year-old axed, recalled attacker will be hero: This Celtic XI will destroy Motherwell
Goalkeeper and defenders
Dorus de Vries (Goalkeeper) – Should replace the struggling Craig Gordon, showed his worth with a recent man of the match performance against Dundee which was rewarded with a contract extension.
Kieran Tierney (Left-back) – Scotland’s young player of the year has the ability to create problems for Motherwell with his constant attacks down the wing, dependable in defence as well.
Jozo Simunovic – (Centre-back) – No nonsense type of defender who is Celtic’s best when fit, will be tasked with handling the dangerous Motherwell forward line spearheaded by Louis Moult.
Dedryck Boyata (Centre-back) – Has improved hugely under Brendan Rodgers’ management but still prone to a lapse in judgement occasionally, will need to cut that out on Cup Final day.
Cristian Gamboa (Right-back) – Big game for the player who is in for the injured Mikael Lustig, has played in huge World Cup qualifying games for Costa Rica so he should be able to handle the occasion.
