Tottenham would be set to be on the receiving end of a massive cash injection if they parted ways with two of their biggest stars, according to a report.
The CIES Football Observatory has ranked Harry Kane £174million (€198million) and Dele Alli £144million (€150million) as the first and third highest ranked players, based on profit if they were to be sold now.
Incredibly, that values the England striker above even Lionel Messi, while Cristiano Ronaldo is nowhere to be seen on the list, and Mo Salah is sixth.
Football Insider verdict:
You can understand why the mercurial Kane would be in the number one spot, but Alli? It makes you question whether there is actually any real ground for data like this given the outcome. The 21-year-old has not had his best season for the Lillywhites. Despite their league position and FA Cup progression, he has been one of the most disappointing performers for Spurs. The 23 goals he notched up last season are a distant comparison to the ten he has totalled so far. Having said that, at 21 a blip was always likely to surface, he just needs to ensure it is just that and he continues to tear up defences for years to come.
