Liam Cooper backed to make sensational Leeds return after shock confession

Liam Cooper is a beloved figure at Elland Road after spending 10 seasons playing for the Yorkshire giants.

The centre-back joined Leeds in 2014 and remained at the club until last summer when he departed at the end of his contract to join CSKA Sofia.

The 33-year-old has showcased his experience and quality for CSKA Sofia ever since, having made 12 appearances for the club.

However, it is Leeds where he committed the bulk of his career as he made 284 appearances during his tenure.

Liam Cooper has revealed his ultimate goal in football

Cooper returned to Leeds at the turn of the year to watch their 1-1 draw against Blackburn at Elland Road, but he has a more permanent return in mind down the line.

The experienced defender told the Daily Mail, “I’ve started a Masters degree and my ultimate dream is to be the sporting director at Leeds.”

Cooper is studying while still playing football as he showcases his commitment to his ultimate dream for Leeds.
