Liam Delap ‘friends’ reveal ‘immediate’ Man City move news
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed Man City could activate their buy-back for Liam Delap and sell him on for a big profit.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 67-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – insisted the 21-year-old will be on the list of most clubs looking for a new striker.
Football Insider revealed in November that Man City are keeping tabs on Ipswich Town striker Delap after his Etihad Stadium exit in the summer window.
The striker signed a five-year contract with the Tractor Boys but it is believed City inserted a buy-back clause in the deal.
He has hit eight goals and notched two assists in 20 games across all competitions this season.
England Under-21 international Delap has been linked with Premier League giants Chelsea as well as other top-flight sides.
Delap could return to Man City for immediate sale, says Wyness
Wyness told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “I’ve been speaking to friends of mine who know Liam Delap’s career and have followed him very closely.
“They rate him very highly.
“They think he’s a classic forward. He’s physical, built, quick, young – he’s got all the right talents.

“City have got the buy-back but I think if they get Marmoush, they may be prepared to do a deal to bring him back and re-sell him.
“I do think he’ll go elsewhere in the Premier League. He’ll be on the list of most clubs who are looking at striking options.”
In other news, City agree to terminate 19-year-old’s deal.
