Liam Rosenior: Crystal Palace keep tabs on Chelsea boss amid sack threat
Crystal Palace are keeping a close eye on the future of Liam Rosenior at Chelsea as he remains highly thought-of at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles are assessing potential alternatives to Oliver Glasner, with the Austrian set to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the season.
While there are a number of big-name bosses on their radar, Rosenior is believed to have been a long-term target since before he replaced Enzo Maresca at Chelsea.
Amid growing pressure on his position at Stamford Bridge, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Palace are keeping tabs on his situation.
Rosenior has a number of admirers behind the scenes in South London, and could be offered a quick return if Chelsea decide to look for a new manager.

Brown first told Football Insider in December that Crystal Palace are admirers of Rosenior, having been impressed when they faced his Strasbourg side in the Conference League.
His switch from France to Stamford Bridge in January seemingly put an end to the Eagles hopes, but with sack pressure ramping up, they remain on alert.
| Liam Rosenior | Chelsea | Strasbourg | Hull City |
| Games | 19 | 63 | 78 |
| Wins | 10 | 32 | 27 |
| Draws | 2 | 14 | 28 |
| Losses | 7 | 17 | 23 |
Rosenior’s work both with Hull City and Strasbourg had caught the eye of the Eagles’ chiefs, and while the deal may be impossible, he remains highly rated.
“Obviously it seems like Liam Rosenior is under a bit of pressure,” Brown told Football Insider.
“If he was to be sacked by Chelsea, he’s somebody Crystal Palace will be looking at, because they’ve been long-term admirers since before he came to Chelsea.
“The people I speak to at Hull City speak very, very highly of him, the way they played under him, the organisation, the way he interacted with his players.
“Everything about him as a manager, I’ve heard nothing but praise about until he’s gone to Chelsea and results maybe haven’t been as they’d have hoped.
“So from a Crystal Palace perspective, those are good signs, because he was highly rated in France as well and there are people at Palace who like him.
“If he was to leave Chelsea, they’d be alerted to that and he’s somebody I’m sure they would be looking at as an option to replace Glasner.
“It’s certainly something Palace will be keeping an eye on.”
Could Rosenior be sacked by Chelsea?
Despite growing calls for the boss to be sacked and doubts about his future in the dugout, Chelsea have made their stance on his immediate future clear.
Football Insider revealed on 23 March that Chelsea plan to give Rosenior time and currently are not considering parting ways with the boss they appointed in January.

Sources say the Stamford Bridge hierarchy aim to stick with the manager regardless of whether he achieves their main goal of Champions League qualification.
That will come as a blow to Palace’s ambitious hopes, although they are continuing to assess a number of potential options to replace Glasner.
The likes of Sean Dyche, Gareth Southgate and Jose Bordalas are among those being heavily tipped for the role, with Chelsea unlikely to make a change soon.
