Gary Lineker has hailed Trent Alexander-Arnold as a “massive talent” on Twitter for his performance in Liverpool’s 3-0 win against Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
The Reds cruised to a home victory at Anfield courtesy of goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino as they moved 10 points clear of fifth-placed Chelsea.
Alexander-Arnold produced sublime crosses for the goals from Mane and Salah to cement his place at right-back ahead of the Champions League semi-final against Roma later this month.
In a Twitter exchange with Alan Shearer, Match of the Day host Lineker praised Alexander-Arnold as his stock continues to rise.

Alexander-Arnold, 19, has made 27 appearances for Liverpool this season after breaking into the first team in the second half of the last campaign.
Football Insider verdict:
Jamie Carragher (remember him?) has predicted that Alexander-Arnold will eventually top his record 737 appearances for Liverpool, and, with each passing game, it is impossible to escape the conclusion that the club have a rare gem in their ranks. The rookie right-back is surely destined for a central midfield role when he matures into the player that Carragher, Lineker and others expect him to be. He can do everything, which, given his tender age, is remarkable, and his confidence is sky-high after quelling the brilliant Leroy Sane in the Champions League double-header against Manchester City. The two assists for Mane and Salah further demonstrated his brilliant crossing ability, and his right-sided raids will be pivotal against Roma in the mouthwatering semi-final.
