Lisandro Martinez sends Man United message after ‘red card’ controversy

Lisandro Martinez has sent Man United fans a message following his controversial, match-winning performance against Fulham.

The 20-time champions picked up three points on Sunday (26 January) with a 1-0 win after Martinez’s 78th-minute goal proved to be the difference.

Martinez’s strike took a deflection on the way to the goal, but it proved to be enough to gain United all three points.

However, many Fulham fans questioned whether or not the Argentina international should have been on the pitch in the first place.

The 27-year-old caught Adama Traore with a two-footed tackle earlier in the match which left many claiming he should have been sent off.

Ultimately, the central defender was allowed to stay on the pitch as he went on to provide the match-winner.
