Liverpool ace Darwin Nunez caught ‘liking’ transfer post after ‘direct’ talks

Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has been caught out ‘liking’ a post on social media linking him with a move to AC Milan.

According to AC Milan TMN, the Italian giants are in ‘direct contact’ with Liverpool over a loan deal for the 25-year-old in the January transfer window.

It’s understood the deal would include a €5million (£4.1million) loan fee with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for €45million (£37million).

Nunez has struggled under Arne Slot so far this season, starting 13 of his 23 games across all competitions, scoring four goals, and providing three assists in his 1229 minutes of action.

Liverpool are flying despite the Uruguay international’s poor form, sitting top of both the Premier League and the new Champions League league phase, having scored 58 goals in 24 games across the two competitions.

Darwin Nunez interested in AC Milan move after failing to impress at Liverpool

The striker has failed to justify the £85million transfer fee it took for Liverpool to sign him from Benfica back in 2022, scoring just 37 goals in his 119 games.

Nunez appears interested in a move, taking to Instagram to like a fan’s edited image of himself in an AC Milan shirt.

Liverpool certainly start 2025 with a bang, hosting arch-rivals Man United in their first game of the new, hoping to compound further misery on Ruben Amorim’s struggling side.

Slot’s side then travel to North London for their League Cup semi-final with Tottenham has they seek to retain the trophy they won last season.
