Trent Alex-Arnold has shared his delight on Twitter after making his competitive debut against Tottenham at Anfield on Tuesday evening.
The 18-year-old bright Liverpool prospect played for 68 minutes at right-back against Spurs in the Reds’ 2-1 victory in the EFL Cup.
He impressed supporters with his ability on the ball and didn’t look out of place in a Liverpool side which was mixed with youngsters and fringe players.
Following the game on Wednesday afternoon, Alex-Arnold tweeted from his personal Twitter account “What a night” and shared his delight at making his debut in Liverpool’s famous home.

Two goals from forward Daniel Sturridge booked Liverpool’s place in the next round of the EFL Cup.
The draw will be made on Wednesday evening following the Manchester derby and supporters will be keen to see who they will get next in a tournament from which they made the final of last season.
However, they will also be focusing on their Premier League campaign as the famous club looks to return to European football.
They are currently sat in third place with 20 points from their opening nine fixtures and will travel to face Crystal Palace on Saturday in the evening kick off.
