Curtis Jones reacts to Nat Phillips message as Liverpool confirm exit
Liverpool star and England midfielder Curtis Jones has reacted to the Reds’ latest confirmed transfer news.
Jones helped the Merseyside giants win the Premier League title last season by notching three goals and three assists in 33 top-flight appearances.
The Reds academy product has progressed well under Arne Slot and made more appearances last term than in any individual season under Jurgen Klopp.
Slot is now utilising the summer transfer window to further bolster his ranks, while Liverpool have signed Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

Jones reacts as Liverpool share Nat Phillips exit message
As well as bringing fresh talent to Anfield this summer, Slot will also have to facilitate player exits as he looks to reshape his squad.
Meanwhile, Liverpool sold defender Nat Phillips to West Brom on Monday, 23 June.
Phillips’ most notable contributions for the Reds came in the 2020/21 season, when he made 20 appearances across all competitions amid an injury crisis.
Following his departure, Liverpool’s official account wrote on Instagram: “All the best in your new chapter, Nat.”
The message attracted a like from Jones.
Phillips departure can help pave way for Marc Guehi arrival
Football Insider verdict
Although Phillips has endured loan spells with Celtic, Cardiff City, and Derby County in the last two seasons, Liverpool’s decision to sell the 28-year-old to West Brom is indicative of Slot’s intent to reshuffle his defence in the transfer window.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are interested in Marc Guehi, who shone by helping Crystal Palace win the FA Cup via their historic Wembley win over Manchester City in May.
The Reds are also set to allow Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen, leaving the Palace man with an opportunity to challenge Ibrahima Konate for a starting spot alongside captain Virgil van Dijk.
But while Quansah’s departure will be more important than that of Phillips, allowing the 28-year-old to depart will also help facilitate Guehi’s potential arrival.
Should the Reds acquire the England international, it would further boost their chances of retaining the Premier League title as well as vying to win other silverware.
