Liverpool: Doubts raised over Yan Diomande succeeding Mohamed Salah at Anfield
Liverpool target Yan Diomande may not be the right player the club needs to replace Mohamed Salah in the summer.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who expects Salah to leave Anfield in the summer transfer window.
Salah has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, and RB Leipzig forward Diomande has emerged as a target to succeed the 33-year-old.
Liverpool are set for a busy summer transfer window after failing to defend their Premier League title, with Salah expected to be one of a number of players who could depart.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – doesn’t think Diomande is the “solution” for Liverpool after Salah leaves.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness believes the 19-year-old could struggle to adapt to the Premier League from the Bundesliga.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I don’t know if he’s actually the guaranteed solution for the Mo Salah issue.
“I think there’s no doubt that Salah’s going to have to go at the end of this season. But we’ll see. But Diamonde’s certainly one that would be in the equation.
“But as I say, there is this question mark about Bundesliga forwards coming in that we’ve seen already.”

Liverpool eye Real Madrid star
Sources have told Football Insider that Liverpool could target Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga in the summer transfer window.
Real Madrid could entertain offers above £43million for the 23-year-old, with the Spanish giants said to be interested in Liverpool stars Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.
Camavinga has started just 12 times in La Liga this season for Real Madrid, and could be guaranteed greater playing time elsewhere.
