Liverpool facing ‘another Mohamed Salah situation’ after source’s ‘huge’ reveal – pundit
Alan Hutton has warned Liverpool face another “Mohamed Salah situation” as they plan to offer Sadio Mane a new contract.
The former Scotland international, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted discussions with the 30-year-old, who’s current terms expire next summer, will “come down to money”.
As revealed by Football Insider on Sunday (17 April), Liverpool are prepared to offer Mane a new contract and the attacker wants to stay.

However, a recruitment source stated the Reds’ owners will not break the bank and they do not plan on offering a “huge” deal that would smash the club’s wage structure.
With negotiations between Liverpool and Salah at a stalemate, Hutton admitted the Merseyside giants could face another contract saga with Mane.
Discussing a potential new deal for the Senegal star, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Of course, it’s important if you look back at his stats and his performances for years.
“I’m going back to when he was at Southampton, how well he played there. I was playing the game when he scored the quickest hat trick ever in the Premier League. I’ve seen it up close and personal.
“Of course, he’s a player that is relied on at Liverpool. He’s a guy for the big moments. He’s had a great season so they’ll want to tie him down.
“But it comes down to money. I don’t think they’re going to want the same situation as Salah with Mane. At the back of your mind, he is 30. It’s still relatively young and he’s still got years to go.

“But Liverpool are looking into the future as well. That’s the thing you have to be careful about. Diogo Jota, Diaz, Carvalho, these guys.
“They’re not slow coming forward. If it doesn’t get resolved quickly, you never know.”
