Liverpool fans are ‘done’ with Darwin Nunez after what he did against Everton
Liverpool fans are “done” with striker Darwin Nunez after his off-key performance in the 2-0 loss against rivals Everton on Wednesday (24 April).
The 24-year-old returned to the starting lineup at Goodison Park after being dropped for the win at Fulham on Sunday (21 April).
But he put on a woeful display leading the line for Jurgen Klopp’s side, whose chances of winning the Premier League are now extremely slim.
Nunez’s control was poor and he missed a golden chance to level the game in the first half, blasting his close-range shot straight at Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
As per Sofascore, the Uruguay international won none of his five duels and lost possession five times.
Nunez has notched 18 goals and 13 assists in 49 games across all competitions this season.
