Liverpool have been linked with a surprise summer move for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala and it is news that has been met with disbelief by supporters of the club.
Reds fans can’t see a transfer of the Juve hitman coming off despite Italian television station Mediaset Premium, as revealed by the Express, claiming that Jurgen Klopp ordering a £110million move for the Argentinian international to go ahead.
The big money claim comes just months after the club splashed out £75m on Virgil van Dijk in the winter transfer window from Southampton.
After copping £142m for Philippe Coutinho in January, the Merseysiders are said to be on the look-out for a replacement of the Brazilian and Dybala is thought to be the man they want.
The 24-year-old only signed a new contract in Turin in April of last year until 2022 so Liverpool will have their work cut out to complete a raid on the Serie A giants.
Since his move from Palermo to the Old Lady in 2015, Dybala has tallied a goal haul of 67 in 132 appearances, which includes 25 goals in 38 outings .
The hitman came under criticism from supporters of the club after defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League in which he received a red card.
As a result, his manager Massimiliano Allegri leapt to his star man’s defence but it is evidence that everything isn’t as rosy as would be assumed in Italy.
Here is what Liverpool fans had to say on social media about their club’s link to the forward:
Straight swap for Emre Can lads @juventusfc?😉 In all seriousness, this is highly unlikely but we can dream.

Not a hope we’ll get him

No offence to you guys as I know you're just sharing the news, but there's more chance of City throwing away the title than this happening

Dybala to #LFC would be an absolute dream👌 but that’s all it is😔

Would be really surprised if Jurgen Klopp wanted Dybala in the summer. He's a boss little player and is technically world class imo but isnt the worker that JK necessarily likes. Could be wrong and maybe is looking to add that bit more flare #lfc #Klopp #Dybala

Dybala would be a perfect replacement for Coutinho, and the transfer is not so unrealistic any more. Liverpool are definitely back on the global stage and not many teams are more attractive and lucrative. Plus a few months ago the story was #LFC after a player not linked before
