Liverpool fans can’t believe ‘disgraceful’ Ibrahima Konate display v Atalanta
Liverpool fans have blasted centre-back Ibrahima Konate for his performance in the 3-0 Europa League quarter-final first-leg loss against Atalanta on Thursday (11 April).
The Reds suffered a shock defeat and looked limp throughout as they were beaten for the first time at home in the 2023-24 campaign.
Konate lined up alongside Virgil van Dijk at centre-back and capped off a woeful display by allowing Gianluca Scamacca to ghost past him and stroke home the second goal on the hour mark.
He was also poor for Atalanta’s third, rushing forward to try and atone for his earlier error but instead leaving space in behind for Ederson and Mario Pasalic to combine and score.

As per Sofascore, Konate won just 10 of his 17 duels and lost possession 15 times.
Liverpool fans were left furious with the defender’s display, with one claiming it was the worst performance of his Reds career.
