Liverpool fans react on Twitter to reported new Lallana deal
By Danny Wright
Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to broadcast their delight in the wake of the news that Adam Lallana will sign a new contract with the club.
ESPN reported that the 28-year-old is expected to sign a new deal within the next 24 hours that will see him become one of the club’s top earners as his pay rises to £110,000-a-week.
His new three-year deal will begin in the summer with an option to extend it by a further 12 months.
Lallana has enjoyed a great season for Jurgen Klopp’s side which has seen him play a more central midfield role rather than on the wings.
The former Southampton man has made 117 appearances for the Merseyside club and has scored 20 goals since joining the club in 2014 for £25million.

Lallana will now be hoping that he can repay the club for the new deal he is about to sign when they travel to struggling champions Leicester on Monday night.
What follows is a tricky, season-defining, run of fixtures for Liverpool.
They play both Arsenal and Manchester City in March in two games that could prove decisive in Liverpool’s top-four bid before a clash with Merseyside rivals Everton on April 1.
