Liverpool fans fume at ‘disrespectful’ Paul Merson after his dig live on Sky

Liverpool fans have demanded Mohamed Salah’s contract is extended while branding Paul Merson a “clown” after a Sky Sports Soccer Saturday debate.

Merson argued with Kris Boyd over the future of the 32-year-old as the former Rangers star insisted Liverpool, “need to get him signed,” even if the deal is for three years.

That is something Merson disagreed with as he asked if Boyd was “joking” before claiming he would be “100 per cent” finished at the top level in three years time.

Salah’s Anfield contract expires at the end of this season, and the Egypt international will be free to discuss a potential move with foreign clubs in January.

The Liverpool forward has publicly insisted that the club are yet to offer him any contract, but Football Insider revealed he is more likely to sign a deal if Virgil van Dijk also commits his future to the Reds.

Salah is in the midst of an excellent season as he’s scoed 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 19 appearances across all competitions for Arne Slot’s team.

Liverpool fans are furious with Paul Merson over his Mohamed Salah comments

Reds fans have once again urged the club to commit to offering Salah a new deal while showcasing their unimpressed attitude towards Merson for his comments.

Supporters claimed he was showing “disrespect” while others claimed that anyone suggesting he shouldn’t be offered a new deal should “question their bias.”
