‘Liverpool fans mock injured Tottenham star Richarlison at Anfield’
Liverpool fans were seen “laughing” at Richarlison after he suffered yet another injury during Tottenham’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash, according to Lewis Steele.
Tottenham faced Liverpool at Anfield for the second-leg, but were 1-0 down before half-time after Cody Gakpo’s opener. Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Virgil van Dijk scored in the second-half sending Arne Slot’s side to Wembley.
Richarlison started the match in the absence of Dominic Solanke but was involved in early controversy. Van Dijk was lucky to not be sent off after to catching Richarlison with an elbow—an incident former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett suggested could have led to a red card.
However, the Brazilian’s night was cut short for a different reason, as he pulled up injured and was forced off before halftime, with new signing Mathys Tel replacing him.
Steele, the Merseyside writer for the Daily Mail, highlighted how Liverpool fans reacted to the injury. He said: “Liverpool fans laughing at Richarlison, who is clearly in some discomfort after pulling up injured. Former Everton man is being replaced by new signing Mathys Tel.”
Ange Postecoglou faces growing injury crisis at Tottenham
Spurs’ injury troubles continue to mount, with key players such as Dominic Solanke, Cristian Romero, and Radu Dragusin sidelined. The centre-back suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
Tottenham fans have claimed the club is “cursed” after Dragusin got injured as their defensive woes worsen
Football Insider previously reported that Tottenham’s board are aware of the ongoing injury concerns and will continue to back Ange Postecoglou until key players return to full fitness.

Despite the team’s poor form and underwhelming performance at Anfield in the Carabao Cup, the club is standing by its manager.
Tottenham could move on from Richarlison
Football Insider Verdict
It’s no surprise that Liverpool fans don’t hold Richarlison in high regard, given his past with Everton. While the striker himself won’t be happy about their reaction, his primary concern will be his latest injury setback rather than what the opposition supporters think.
Although the forward remained at Spurs beyond the January transfer window, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Richarlison is keen on leaving Tottenham for a big-money move to the Saudi Pro League as he has limited game time.
His ongoing injury struggles have become a concern for the club, leading to increasing speculation that he may not be part of the long-term plans.
