'The guy is woeful,' ‘No’ - Liverpool fans hate the idea of this man as Coutinho replacement
Liverpool have been linked with West Ham playmaker Manuel Lanzini on a number of occasions as the Reds hunt for a replacement for Brazilian Philippe Coutinho after he left the club in January.
However, it would appear that supporters of the Merseysiders are not keen on the Hammers midfield maestro, who they believed lacks the quality to replace the Barca star.
They also question whether they even need a replacement for the 25-year-old.
The Reds have hardly struggled in the attacker’s absence despite the goals he brought to the side, Jurgen Klopp’s men appear to have gone from strength to strength without him.
Back in January, there were a number of reports suggesting that a move for the Argentinian midfielder was on the cards, and those resurfaced once more in the Metro in the aftermath of the Hammers defeat against Liverpool at Anfield.
It was only the West Ham ace’s first start in over a month after recovering from injury and although he looked rusty, he is undoubtedly a quality player and one of only a few consistent performers in an otherwise disappointing season for the Hammers.

But, injury aside, it would appear that supporters of the Reds are not interested in any potential swoop for the £35,000-per-week star and would prefer that their club looks elsewhere if they have to replace Coutinho.
Here is a selection of reactions on social media to the reported links of Lanzini to Liverpool:
