Liverpool fans rage at Luis Diaz after personal terms reveal: ‘He’s gone before Nunez’

Liverpool fans reacted almost unanimously in calling for the club to sell Luis Diaz following a fresh update on his future.

The Colombian winger’s situation has been under scrutiny this summer, with just two years remaining on his current deal and no significant progress made over a new contract.

That uncertainty has attracted interest from several European giants, with Football Insider revealing that Liverpool are preparing for incoming offers for Diaz in the coming weeks — with Barcelona and Bayern Munich expected to intensify their pursuit, despite having approaches rejected already.

Arne Slot’s team are demanding £70million to part ways with Diaz as he remains a key part of the squad, despite his current contract situation.

Although Liverpool’s public stance has been that Diaz is not for sale, supporters are now urging the club to cash in after a reveal concerning the player’s current position.

Luis Diaz open to Bayern Munich move

Transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Diaz has been “flirting” with the idea of leaving Liverpool, following Bayern Munich’s initial approach — which was rejected by the Merseyside club.

He added that personal terms are not expected to be an obstacle, with the 28-year-old open to a move to the Bundesliga giants.

Barcelona still consider the Colombia international a top target, but the finances required to complete a deal are likely to exceed what the Catalan side are prepared to pay. Bayern, meanwhile, remain keen on securing his signature.

With Diaz having just two years remaining on his current contract, this summer may represent the best opportunity for Liverpool to cash in, despite their official stance being that he is not for sale.

Liverpool fans turn on Diaz amid Bayern interest and exit talk

Diaz played a key role during Slot’s title-winning season, scoring 17 goals and registering eight assists across all competitions.

The Colombian was Liverpool’s second-highest scorer last term, regularly deployed both on the left wing and as a central striker when needed.

However, with his long-term future at the club now in doubt, it appears a move away from Anfield could be on the cards.

Football Insider previously revealed that Liverpool would be willing to sanction a sale for Diaz if he made his desire to leave clear, and the latest reports now strongly suggest that is the case.

In response, many Liverpool fans have voiced their frustration, calling on the club to sell the winger.

One supporter commented: “Get him out immediately” while another reacted to the reports by saying: “Good, don’t want to be here? Sell right now, bye.”
