Liverpool fans were fuming on social media after learning that Jurgen Klopp was playing Emre Can at centre-back against Brighton on Saturday.
The midfielder was one of six changes made by the German manager from the game against Stoke City on Wednesday, and fans were perplexed by seeing Can in defence.
Fans shouldn’t be surprised at the Klopp rotation as Liverpool have made 48 changes to their starting eleven this season, eleven more than any other side in the Premier League.
The Reds have travelled to Amex Stadium to face Brighton, unbeaten in their last five league games to help them sit fifth in the table with 26 points.
Brighton go into this game having only won one of their last five league games but The Seagulls are unbeaten in their last six league games at the Amex Stadium.

Çan at centre half over Gomez??? Sorry but that is very, very questionable as a choice. Hope it isn't, but it smacks of panic.#LFC #BHALIV

The two sides haven’t met in the top-flight since 1983, and the sides could not be separated then with the game ending 2-2.
There could be plenty of goals again, as away matches that have featured the Reds, have produced 31 goals so far this season.
