Premier League giants Everton have agreed a deal which has given them permission to build a new stadium – and Liverpool fans on Twitter have provided mixed views to their new plans.
The club confirmed on their official website on Thursday evening that they have signed Heads of Terms with landowners Peel Holdings to acquire a site at Bramley Moor Dock
It will see the Merseyside outfit move from their current surroundings, Goodison Park to a new home in the near future with no timescale given as to when the new stadium will be built.
The club’s rivals and neighbours, Liverpool recently expanded Anfield at the start of the Premier League season.
The expansion resulted in the club’s Main Stand gaining 8,500 more seats, with their stadium capacity now at 54,000.

One fan jokingly asked if a new club will be created to win trophies once Everton moves out of Goodison Park.
Furthermore, others joked at what the club’s new surroundings will look like, while others thought of new names for the stadium.
One supporter did state that if the Toffees are to get a bigger stadium then their owners must go back to the drawing board regarding their recent expansion.
Another fan brushed off claims that the club will be able to generate around 60,000 fans, with Goodison Park currently holding a tad under 40,000 supporters.
Tottenham Hotspur are another club who are set to move to a new stadium as they are currently in their final season at White Hart Lane.
Overall, the Anfield faithful were laughing and joking at their neighbours revealing their new plans.
