Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Fellaini captaining Manchester United
By Dominic Toner
Marouane Fellaini has been named as Manchester United’s captain against Sunderland – and the Liverpool fans have been quick to mock their rivals on Twitter.
The 29-year-old midfielder will lead United out for their Premier League clash against Sunderland.
The Belgium international has been a regular under manager Jose Mourinho and is often used as a scapegoat by supporters.
He has made 123 appearances so far for the Reds Devils and his spell with Everton has not helped enhance his reputation with Liverpool.
The Reds fans couldn’t resist aiming a huge dig at their great rivals United after Fellaini was named as captain.

Liverpool and United have historically become major rivals after competing for league titles in the past.
However, both are a long way off the summit this season and are focused on securing a top-four spot.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are third-placed in the league table and look in a strong position to clinch Champions League football.
Meanwhile, they are looking over their shoulders at the chasing pack of Arsenal and United.
The Gunners and United are both tied together on 54 points after 29 games each, while Liverpool have 63 points after 32 matches.
The race for the top-four is set to go right down to the wire and Liverpool will be hoping their rivals slip up at Sunderland.
In other Liverpool news, a BBC pundit claims this ace is the catalyst to the team.
