Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Karius display v Manchester United
By Dominic Toner
Loris Karius kept his first clean sheet in the Premier League on Monday night – but Liverpool fans were still undecided about the goalkeeper on Twitter.
Liverpool recorded a 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Anfield and the goalkeeper had a quiet night on just his third league appearance.
Karius, 23, did have a couple of uncertain moments with his passing but was not punished for his lapses in concentration.
The Merseyside club had the better of the chances but United goalkeeper David De Gea produced a couple of fantastic saves in the second-half to keep the score level.
The result leaves Liverpool fourth in the Premier League table and two points adrift of league leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool supporters were uncertain by Karius’ performance and some believe that Simon Mignolet should be recalled to the side.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Karius still not looking much of an upgrade Mignolet. Very early days but surely still a big worry for Liverpool at the current time? #LFC

Karius looked very shaky again, flapped at crosses like Migs. #LFC

Karius a little nervy alright but his positioning and quick distribution is why we signed him. Thought he was great in that regard #LFC

I'd keep on picking karius just to settle him down & also ask serious questions to goal keeping "coach WTF is he doing to improve them?

Before slating Karius, we should remember that De Gea was terrible in his first season at Man Utd but look at him now, early days yet #LFC

So Karius then doesn't really instill confidence does he. Migs for me. #lfc

I would criticize Karius but we kept a clean sheet, so i'll let this one go #LFC

Karius has now started the club’s last four games in all competitions after manager Jurgen Klopp decided to drop Mignolet.
The German moved to Anfield in the summer and was recruited to challenge for the number one jersey.
The goalkeeper broke his hand in pre-season and is yet to look convincing since his return from injury.
Mignolet has been the club’s preferred goalkeeper in recent seasons since his arrival from Sunderland three years ago but has been criticised several times by fans in the past.
The 28-year-old has made several high-profile errors for the Reds and people have questioned his handling ability, but he does excel at shot stopping.
Karius is yet to convince some fans of his ability but appears to have his grip on the number one spot for the upcoming matches.
