Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Origi display v Plymouth

Divock Origi completed 90 minutes on Sunday in Liverpool’s draw against Plymouth – and the club’s supporters were furious with his performance on Twitter.

The Merseyside club were held to a 0-0 draw by League Two outfit Plymouth in their FA Cup third-round match at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp made 10 changes from the team that drew to Sunderland in the Premier League and in the process named the club’s youngster ever starting XI.

Origi was recalled to the starting line-up and the striker failed to threaten the Plymouth defence all game.

Liverpool fans expressed their anger on Twitter with the 21-year-olds performance and feel he was extremely quiet.

Origi has become an important member of Liverpool’s squad this season and is competing alongside team-mates Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge for a starting position.

The Belgian international has now made 22 appearances across all competitions and scored seven goals in return.

He is desperate to enjoy a long run of starts in the first-team, but has been used as a substitute in half of his games this campaign.

Origi is set to get more chances in the first-team during the upcoming weeks as Liverpool still have have six games remaining during a busy January schedule.
