Adam Bogdan has reportedly joined Wigan on a season-long loan deal – and Liverpool fans took to Twitter to express their delight at the exit of the blunder-prone goalkeeper.
The BBC claimed on Wednesday afternoon that the 28-year-old shot stopper had signed for the Latics for the 2015-16 season.
This comes after the official Liverpool website confirmed on Wednesday morning that defender Ragnar Klavan had completed his transfer from Augsburg.
Bogdan began his career at Hungarian side Vasas SC, and his move to Wigan will see him team up with Jussi Jasskelainen with whom he worked with at Bolton for five years before his free transfer to Liverpool last summer.
Jurgen Klopp has reshuffled the goalkeeper position this summer after it has proven to be a problem position for the Merseyside club for a number of years.
The German manager has brought fellow countryman Loris Karius to the club, while Ryan Fulton and Ward have joined Bogdan in leaving the club on loan.
Liverpool fans have reacted with joy and humour to the news that Bogdan will not be at Anfield in the upcoming season.

Almost feel sorry 4 Adam Bogdan. Must have thought he'd won the lottery when he signed 4 #LFC
Bolton smiled wistfully
Wigan loan is reality.

Goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has joined Wigan from #LFC on a loan deal. How some players get to pull on the Liverpool jersey is simply beyond me?
