Wijnaldum has endured a mixed start since his summer arrival from Anfield and has already racked up 27 appearances.
The Holland international left Newcastle as a goalscoring midfielder, but has been turned into a more defensive mould by Klopp.
He is a steady operator in the midfield and rarely loses possession, but many people feel he offers very little attacking threat and slows the play down.
The Reds face a crucial Premier League game with Chelsea on Tuesday and Wijnaldum could lost out to team-mate Emre Can in the starting line-up.
