Liverpool fans expressed their shock on Twitter after seeing Roberto Firmino score a header from a corner for Brazil on Wednesday night.
The 25-year-old was in inspired form, dazzling his Bolivian opponents on the international stage alongside Liverpool teammate Coutinho.
The two combined as Firmino climbed highest to head in Coutinho’s corner in the second half.
Firmino is not renowned for his aerial prowess but it was his second headed goal in six days after he netted the equaliser in a similar way for Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Swansea last weekend.
The former Hoffenheim forward scored after coming off the bench, as Tite’s men went on to secure an emphatic 5-0 victory that saw Coutinho also find the net.
Liverpool’s number 11 Firmino has been in superb form for the Merseyside giants this term. Four goals in eight league and cup encounters has established Firmino as Jurgen Klopp’s first-team spearhead, as well as laying on another three strikes in assists.
Fans showed their appreciation for Firmino as he continued his fine form in a yellow shirt, but wished that he could use his apparent aerial prowess more in the Premier League.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

The win pushes Brazil closer to confirming their place at Russia’s 2018 World Cup, as they lie in second with 18 points from nine games. Uruguay top the group with 19.
Brazil face Venezuela away from home on Tuesday, with both Firmino and Coutinho expected to feature in Tite’s side following their impressive performances against Bolivia.
