Liverpool fans are delighted on Twitter for Joe Allen after the midfielder struck his second goal in two games for new club Stoke City, as they drew 1-1 with Manchester United.
The Welsh international moved to the Britannia earlier this summer for £13million and has hit the ground running for Mark Hughes’ side.
After already making eight league and cup appearances for the Potters, Allen has become a fan favourite among Stoke supporters and has seemingly added a new dimension to his game.
Allen, 26, has begun to start scoring goals after getting criticised at Liverpool for being too negative in the holding midfield role.
Fans have reacted with delight for their former midfield player, with some regretting the decision to sell the former Swansea star.

The former Reds ace has played as both a genuine central midfielder and as an attacking midfielder throughout his time in England’s top-tier, as well as operating in a deeper holding-midfield role.
Allen has scored 14 goals and provided 19 assists in 281 career games since breaking into the Swansea first-team in 2007.
