Liverpool fans react on Twitter to senior forward trio starting v Plymouth

By Harvey Byrne

Forward trio Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Philippe Coutinho have all been selected to start for Liverpool on Wednesday, and Reds fans on Twitter are excited.

The Merseyside giants are preparing to face League Two side Plymouth in their third round replay at Home Park.

The two clubs played out a 0-0 draw at Anfield with the Pilgrims providing a strong defensive performance.

But, Jurgen Klopp is keen to ensure that the same doesn’t happen again and has named three of the club’s established attackers in the starting eleven to face Plymouth.

Many Liverpool fans on social media posted their approval of the selection on social media after the team was announced.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

The match marks Coutinho’s first start for Liverpool following his injury suffered against Sunderland on 26 November.

Meanwhile, both Sturridge and Origi struggled in their last outings against Southampton and Manchester United respectively and will be keen to impress their manager.

The Liverpool attack has been very strong this season with the highest goals for tally in the English top flight.

Fans will now be hoping for another strong display as they look to put their name in the fourth round of the prestigious cup competition.
