Clyne is Liverpool’s clear first-choice option at right-back but Jurgen Klopp could consider using Alexander-Arnold as his understudy.
The youngster had already made 10 appearances for England’s Under-17 side and is continuing his impressive development.
Alexander-Arnold was born in Liverpool and is hopeful of playing in the first-team for his hometown club.
Klopp’s Liverpool team are built around a high intensity and high pressing game, something that the youngster would certainly fit.
