Wijandlum joined the Reds for £30 million this summer and has been in excellent form alongside Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana in midfield.
He started in seven Liverpool fixtures between September and October but was left on the bench for their recent clashes against Watford and Crystal Palace after picking up a hip injury.
The former Newcastle man missed the goalless draw against Manchester United at Anfield through injury and returned as a substitute against West Brom the week after but has been kept out of the side by Emre Can since then.

He is still considered a hugely important player though and came on as a late substitute to score Liverpool’s sixth goal in their emohatic 6-1 victory over Watford on Sunday.
The Reds went to the top of the Premier League table following that win and have not lost a game since their 2-0 defeat against Burnley in the second weekend of the 2016-17 season.
