Liverpool fans should be deeply concerned by Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane updates – Phillips
Liverpool fans should be deeply concerned by the stalemate between the club and Mohamed Salah over his new contract, according to Kevin Phillips.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League and England striker claimed Liverpool would be “really hurt” if they could not agree a new deal and lost the 29-year-old.
A recruitment source told Football Insider on Saturday (12 March) Salah is prepared to join another Premier League club if he does not receive a satisfactory offer from the Reds.

He, and fellow frontline forward Sadio Mane, is under contract at Anfield until the summer of 2023.
It is understood Salah wants to stay at Liverpool and is looking for wages of £500,000-a-week after rejecting their latest contract offer.
Jurgen Klopp’s public stance, as quoted by the Echo on Friday (11 March), is that the club have done everything they can and it is now down to the player.
“If I’m a Liverpool fan, I’d be concerned that it’s all gone quiet,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Ewan Kingsbury.
“You’d like those two players to be tied down. You certainly don’t want to lose them because that would really hurt Liverpool.
“They’ve got Diaz, they’ve got Jota who are two incredible players. The players they’ve got in those offensive positions are incredible.
“I’d love to know the reason it’s gone quiet. I’m sure Liverpool will be fighting tooth and nail.

“Where would these boys go and play? They play for a team that are challenging for the Champions League and Premier League every year, why would you want to leave?
“Liverpool will hope they don’t lose them, that’s for sure.”
