Liverpool fans tell Sky Sports to ‘sack’ Gary Neville after what he said
Liverpool fans are calling for Gary Neville to be “sacked” by Sky Sports after his commentary during the Premier League clash v Chelsea.
Arne Slot’s men took all three points at home as they secured an impressive 2-1 victory against the Blues thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones either side of Nicolas Jackson’s strike.
That victory has moved Liverpool to the top of the league and made it seven wins in their opening eight games under their new manager.
However, supporters watching from home were left raging after Neville was selected to speak alongside Peter Drury on Sky Sports’ commentary team.
Fans quickly picked up on the former Man United man’s reactions on commentary and his claims surrounding incidents throughout the game.
During the clash at Anfield, Neville had accused both Salah and Darwin Nunez of cheating to deceive the referee and called for them to be booked.
These claims, along with multiple incidents of the commentator expressing his views on controversial incidents, led supporters to insist he was “biased” against the home side.
