Liverpool fans slate 24-year-old after win against Burnley
By Dominic Toner
Philippe Coutinho was substituted off in the 60th minute during Liverpool’s win against Burnley – and the club’s supporters were highly critical of the attacker on Twitter.
The 24-year-old was unable to make an impact on the game and was replaced by 17-year-old Ben Woodburn in the second-half.
The Reds managed to secure three Premier League points without a performance from Coutinho, which has seen them strengthen their grip on fourth.
Ashley Barnes put the visitors in front in just the 7th minute, but Georginio Wijnaldum equalised on the stroke of half-time.
Jurgen Klopp’s side scored the winning goal in 61st minute as midfielder Emre Can scored from outside of the box.

Coutinho has endured a frustrating spell since he returned from injury and been unable to recapture his best form.
The left winger recently pledged his long-term future to Anfield despite speculation from Barcelona, but is yet to justify his new deal on the pitch.
He is regarded as one of the most talented players at the Merseyside club and is a regular starter under Klopp.
Coutinho has weighed in with seven goals and seven assists so far this season, making him one of their most influential players.
However, the fans are demanding more from their talisman and he will hope to prove doubters wrong in the next game against Manchester City.
In other Liverpool news, the club’s outcast is desperate to prove himself at the club.
