Liverpool fans surprised as detailed Gravenberch stats emerge from 4-1 win v Luton – ‘Wow’
Liverpool fans were shocked by Ryan Gravenberch’s “superb” performance against Luton Town on Wednesday (21 February).
Jurgen Klopp’s side fought back from 1-0 down at Anfield to win 4-1 against the relegation battlers thanks to second-half goals from Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott.
While Reds fans were relieved not to let their lead at the top of the table slip, they were wowed by the Dutchman’s outing – just his ninth league start of the season.
Gravenberch dominated the midfield having made five tackles, winning seven ground duels, having 49 touches, making five blocks and earning 84 per cent pass accuracy.

He was also influential in Liverpool’s attacking phases of play having completed seven progressive passes, 21 carries and three shot-creating actions.
Since his reported £34.2million summer move from Bayern Munich, the 21-year-old has not become indispensable to Klopp having started on the bench for more than half his league outings.
However, fans believe that he will soon emerge as one of the club’s finest midfielders – and his performance against Luton fueled their confidence.
They have taken to social media to hail his “incredible” display, and one fan even tipped him to become their Rodri.
