Liverpool fans turn on Jurgen Klopp after what they saw v Atalanta – ‘he’s given up’
Liverpool fans now agree the time is right for manager Jurgen Klopp to move on after the 3-1 aggregate loss against Atalanta in the Europa League.
The Reds went into the second leg in Bergamo on Thursday (18 April) 3-0 down and could only manage one goal in Italy as they played their last European game with Klopp at the helm.
Liverpool also lost against Crystal Palace on Sunday (14 April) in a huge dent to their hopes of landing the Premier League title.
Klopp announced his intention to leave Anfield back in January despite having two more years to run on his contract in Merseyside.
The German revealed he is “running out of energy” after almost nine years in the Liverpool hot seat.
He led his side to a League Cup victory in February to ensure his last season at the club will not be a trophyless one.
