Liverpool fans on Twitter have urged Jurgen Klopp to axe Jordan Henderson for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash against Sevilla.
Skipper Henderson played the full 90 minutes of the team’s 5-0 hammering at Manchester City as they were torn apart following the first half sending-off of Sadio Mane.
It was the first league defeat of the season for Klopp’s side and Mane’s dismissal clearly was the key event of the match as the 10-men visitors could not cope with a vibrant City, for whom Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane each scored twice after Sergio Aguero had opened the scoring.
Henderson is a mainstay of the Liverpool team and widely considered a favourite of the manager, as he is the captain and a nailed-on starter when fit and available for selection.
Supporters are not convinced his performances are worthy of such exalted status.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Klavan,Henderson,Gini were all garbage. Firmino went missing and Salah’s end product was non existant! Speedy recovery to Ederson though????????????????

I am baffled. Yes, collective failure, but 9/10 times the discussions ends up with players not good enough: Mig, Hendo, Klav, Lovr. #lfc
