Liverpool fans urge Klopp to pick 27-year-old v West Ham

By Will Butcher

Liverpool fans have urged Jurgen Klopp on Twitter to start Daniel Sturridge against West Ham on Sunday over Divock Origi.

Sturridge, 27, has endured a difficult season at Anfield with a number of injuries preventing him from featuring on a regular basis in Klopp’s starting eleven.

It has seen Belgium international Origi feature more regularly than Sturridge, with the former Lille striker failing to find the back of the net during Sunday’s 0-0 draw against Southampton.

Origi was replaced by Sturridge in the 69th minute of the encounter, and could now start from the off as Klopp looks to earn his 21st league win of the season and boost his side’s chances of finishing in the top four.

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in an attempt to persuade Klopp to start Sturridge over Origi on Sunday, as Liverpool look to go one better than the 2-2 draw back in December.
