Liverpool fans ‘want Richard Hughes out’ after journalist’s Mohamed Salah update
Liverpool fans want sporting director Richard Hughes “out” of the football club for not securing Mohamed Salah a new contract extension.
According to Paul Joyce of The Times, there is little doubt that Salah’s priority is to stay at Anfield as his family is settled and he enjoys the support from the fanbase.
Salah also finds Arne Slot “very straight” to deal with, but as it stands his contract still expires in the summer and he will be free to talk to foreign clubs in January about a move.
The 32-year-old winger could sign a pre-contract agreement with another team at the turn of the year, placing pressure on Liverpool’s hierarchy to strike a deal with the Egypt international.
The Reds are dealing with three star players going out of contract at the end of the season as Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are in the same situation.
However, Salah is currently enjoying a fantastic season, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in 17 matches across all competitions.
Liverpool fans want Mohamed Salah’s contract issue resolved
Liverpool fans are now starting to blame Hughes for not getting this situation resolved and have claimed “it’s on the club” if he doesn’t end up staying.
